In a recent interview in Montreal Canada Avril was discussing the troubles she had with releasing the vision of her most recent album Goodbye Lullaby which was put on hold for two years by her previous label who had a different vision then Avril taking the singer-songwriter acoustically driven route which wanted. After discussing how there was a lot of fighting and how it was very discouraging for her to have her vision realized and having to compromise her vision with replacing songs she wrote on her own with Max Martin tracks like What The Hell, Smile, Wish You Were Here and I Love You, she said "Life is a long journey, we all have struggles and you just need to keep your head up!" Now, it isn't exactly a direct quote but it's obvious especially after I sent her his songs when she was dealing with those issues with her label a while back. So finally my two favorite musicians are coming together!
